Embracing The Forces of Change
Change is in the air.
Some of this transition has to do with Saturn, Mars, Jupiter and their movements, but no matter the source, change is a constant force in the Universe.
I like change. I never fear the concept of having to completely reboot the system of life. It clears the memory and allows for a new paradigm in the present, as well as the future. The good news is that change doesn’t have to be devastating or completely overwhelming. It can be as simple as a state of mind.
The key to working with change is simply to allow it to manifest in the most benevolent way possible. This may be a little more difficult than it sounds, but in actuality, it really isn’t that complex.
We are all evolving. Evolution is a constant in almost every aspect of our world. Economies evolve, environments evolve, the climate evolves, medical treatments evolve, relationships evolve, society evolves and we evolve on a personal level, every single day.
Evolution is a slow process, but every now and then, the winds of change pick up and blow across our lives in such a way that we are caught in its energy and taken for quite a ride. I believe that this is one of those times.
I’m basing this not only on my observations, astrologically and intuitively, but also in what I see occurring in the lives of people I know and have advised. Although the major force of the wind hasn’t started yet, the breezes have begun and I’ve been around long enough to know that it’s coming.
None of this has to be traumatic, nor does it have to be invasive. Change is the natural state of everything, regardless of what it is.
In Tarot, the Two of Disks is known as the Lord of Change. The twos in the numbered cards of Tarot all relate to the purest form of their element and in this case, the element in question is Earth. This means that the purest form of Earth energy is change.
Even in solid steel or a hunk of granite, billions of years old, molecules are moving, changing the very structure of the element itself. To try to deny these changes is fruitless.
For example, those who attempt to deny that they are aging are only fooling themselves. In fact, embracing one's age is a way of honoring life itself and the journey that we are on. Denying the reality of change is missing a vital part of being human, a facet that holds a richness that I find to be quite nice.
How can we best embrace this evolutionary change? The key is to accept the movement without giving into it. This means not succumbing to fear nor running to worst possible scenarios. However, we must take into account history, human nature and reality in working with the energies around us successfully.
If we try to fight the powers of the Universe, we will only face frustration and futility. If we learn to work with the powers of change and transition, we can flourish, grow, learn and fit into new paradigms in a way that may surprise us.
I feel it. I like the way it feels because with every change that comes, there’s new hope, even though it may not be evident in the beginning.
In the midst of all this change, it’s also important to remember who we are and what we’re up to. In fact, I think in part, that’s one of the reasons why we are who we are. Those of us who walk a metaphysical path in life have a tendency not to forget what is important.
This isn't to say that we don’t experience all the frustrations, irritations and other emotions that everyone else does. However, since we don’t attach dogma to what we do, or shouldn’t, we are often more able to scan the horizon and see the beginnings of growth and new potential where others may only see the foggy mists of the unknown.
If you haven’t already felt the changes, you will soon.
As you begin to feel the movement that’s coming, relax. There are amazing times coming, some with challenges, some easy, some of which will bring great success and others lessons, but it’s all ultimately for the growth of the planet and ourselves.
Fearing change is like fearing life itself and is the worst, self defeatist attitude that anyone can adopt.
Embracing change, no matter what form it takes, allows us to dance with it and make the best possible moves, even leading in the dance from time to time, ultimately allowing us to celebrate life and help others to do so as well.
I’m here to lend you a hand if you need it and hope you’ll do the same for others, every chance you get.
Until next time, I wish you peace, love and an unobstructed view of all the horizons around you.
