A Lack of Compassion

Violence seems to be the way humans take care of issues. I suppose it's been this way for millennia, but it seems totally devoid of compassion.

Lately, it seems as if the squabbles of nations and groups have overflowed to involve the innocents of the world, including children. People caught like fish in a barrel are being victimized and sometimes that barrel flies at thirty thousand feet.

Here, there, everywhere, the reflection of life seems dim and unpleasant. However, in a world of seven billion humans, give or take, we mostly get along. I'll hold out hope for humanity and for compassion to overtake everything else.
